The 6th Regional Seminar of the ICT-Asia Programme, organized by the Regional Delegation for Cooperation of the French Embassy in Thailand, will take place on 11 and 12 February 2009 at the Asian Institute of Technology, Pathumthani, Thailand.

Themes of the seminar

In addition to mid-term presentations on the projects selected at the 4th call for proposals of the programme and on an evaluation survey of the programme piloted by the regional delegation for cooperation, the seminar will be the occasion to explore specific themes relevant to French-Asian cooperation in ICT and which could be selected as priority areas for future calls for proposals. These include

• Distributed systems - Communication Networks/Wireless Networks
• Nanotechnologies and ICT - Quantum computing
• Multimedia applications - Speech processing - Image processing and medical imaging
• Context - Modelling - Decision support systems
• Robotics
• Computer security

Registration

All participants (institutional representatives, persons in charge of ongoing projects, French and Asian partners wishing to present their work and ideas on the themes of the seminar) are requested to complete the registration form and send it by email to Mr. Antonin Coeur-Bizot and Mr. Jean-Philippe Thouard . Please indicate the topic of your presentation if you wish to make one as well as the theme to which it relates.

The deadline for registration is 31 January 2009.

Location and accommodation

The campus of AIT is located about 40 km North of Bangkok. It takes about one hour to travel from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Taxi fare from the airport to AIT is about 700 Baht.
